About

It is in great part about the sounds: hiss of the torch, gasp and rumble of the quench, rhythm of the hammer, and scritchy-scratch of the emory paper. I am trying to reveal the softness in copper, silver and gold by using traditional metalsmithing tools to cut, saw, file, hammer, solder, emboss and engrave. My goal in each piece can loosely be described as sort of a layered simplicity which aims to find a permanent comfortable spot on the body.
